MEDIATION

What is Mediation?

Mediation is a voluntary process between two or more people in which an unbiased 3rd party, the mediator, facilitates a confidential discussion between these people so they can work on resolving one or more disputes.

The mediator’s job is simply to facilitate, keep the conversation constructive and on task, and also to find a way to help the parties create an understanding of each other’s story and where they are coming from. This way, people can move from feeling like victims or villains to real people with real problems. Read more here: ‘The Joy of Conflict Resolution’ -Gary Harper
